Whitening Yellow Teeth

We all eat and drink some things which may not necessarily be good for us or our teeth. On a daily basis, we may drink coffee, tea, eat spicy or deep colored foods, or smoke cigarettes – and all these factors make for unhealthy and yellow teeth. There is no real point in cutting out all of these things, because we enjoy them. All you need to do is cut down on the amount you have, as well as take preventative measures, to ensure you keep the stains at a minimum.

One of the best ways to keep the stains at bay, is to chew gum. For example, when you are drinking coffee or tea, right after you finish, you could chew a stick of gum, or eat an apple. This will help neutralise the colors that have embedded themselves into the enamel of your teeth. An apple is almost like a natural toothbrush! Apples, carrots or celery are great to much on, and will brush your teeth as you chew them. Naturally, the sugars and acids left behind will need to be cleaned off, but are much less damaging to teeth whiteness than the food and drinks we crave.

Yellow teeth are easy to whiten with whitening strips, trays or toothpaste. Unless the yellowness begins to turn into a brown color – because this can become very hard to whiten with normal whitening products. Even a trip to the dentist, to get a good peroxide clean, may not be sufficient, because some whitening trays really do contain more of the chemicals – and can last longer than a dental treatment.

The best way to whiten yellow teeth is to keep to your brushing schedule, and to invest in a whitening treatment at home. Just daily brushing twice a day, and a whitening tray or using whitening strips will see that your yellow teeth disappear fast.
